Situated at the foot of the Alps mountain range is the largest Italian lake, Lake Garda. It’s located in Northern Italy, half-way between Venice and Milan. It was formed by glaciers at the end of the last ice age. Lake Garda offers visitors a place to escape to and rejuvenate their body and mind surrounded by nature.

The Garda Lake has five islands namely, Isola del Garda, Isola San Biagio, Isola dell’Olivo, Isola di Sogno and Isola di Trimelone.

It first opened in 1975 and has slowly expanded to become one of the biggest. It has four roller coasters and another 54 other rides. The roller coasters are called Magic Mountain, Blue tornado, Sequoia Adventure, Orto Bruco and Fuga da Atlantide. Each one giving you great adrenalin rush and leaving you wanting more!

In Sirmione sul Garda you can visit the Virgilio and Catullo spa complexes or see the Scaliger castle that dates back to the 13 century. This is a beautiful town that is a very popular holiday destination for Italians and tourists. It has many great restaurants, bars and hotels. There are quite a few shops selling the latest fashions, shoes and bags. Friends and family always want gifts if you take a overseas trip and you are bound to find a few things in the shops. The fleet of the ferry service on Lake Garda consists of 20 boats with restaurants, bars and sun decks. The ferries normally only operate during summer and you are able to take a morning or evening trip. They travel between quite a few of the towns around the lake, but you will need to get a full route plan and timetable from the ferry ticket office.
